Our fifth and final winery appointment for the day was at 4:30 p.m. at Carlos Pulenta's Vistalba Winery. Newly built in 2002, the stunning architecture of this winery is inspired by Argentina's native cultures. This facility is absolutely incredible and you can tell that the owners sunk some serious pesos into building this bodega. In the subterranean tasting room there is an entire wall that shows the cross-section of the actual vineyard clay, roots and rocks included.

Vistalba in Black and White

As you can imagine, by this point in the day, our senses were on complete overload. My dad opted out of the wine tasting, but my mom rallied on with me. Here we tasted three of their wines as well as their estate olive oil.

Reflection of Wine

Before leaving the bodega, we took some time to walk around the property. They have an incredible reception area with stunning views of the vineyard and the mountains. We also had a chance to see the newly forming grapes in the vineyard and to soak in the atmosphere and ambiance of Mendoza's wine country. All in all, a great way to cap off a fabulous day of wine touring.
